Strengths-based, neuroaffirming, inclusive counselling for children and teens
Hi, I’m Stefanie! I help young people boost their self-esteem, connect with their authentic selves and work with their challenges and difficult life experiences to reach their goals. Children are the experts in themselves, and what they need comes to light through play. I honour their uniqueness and autonomy to help them shine.
Combining my professional and personal experience with my interest in social justice, I offer a warm, validating, affirming, culturally-inclusive, and non-judgmental space that supports clients in achieving their goals. The best part is, clients have fun while they learn and grow!
Play is the natural language of children!
Through play and art-based interventions, children and teens learn to express themselves, recognize and respond to challenging emotions, build self-esteem and strengthen resilience.
Support for parents of complex children
Parenting and caregiving can be rewarding and tough! If you’re caring for a neurodivergent or complex child/teen, you may sometimes feel like you’re walking on egg shells. You may even wonder if you’re doing something wrong. You don’t have to do it alone! I am here to support caregivers in restoring alignment and harmony in the family system.
I gratefully acknowledge that I am settler of over 20 years on the Traditional Territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta’an Kwäch’än Council. It is a privilege to work, live and play on these lands and I aim to foster the spirit and intent of truth and reconciliation in all that I do.
