Some pros to consider:
Easier to schedule, less driving time and can be accessed from a comfortable and familiar setting!
Reduces transitions!
For neurodivergent or sensitive clients, online therapy allows them to control the brightness, volume and other sensory input so they feel more at ease.
Some clients have an easier time sharing more about their experiences virtually.
Online therapy reduces barriers for people in remote areas.
Utilizing technology can be engaging for children and teens.
We also use household items when it is convenient, such as favourite toys, and paper and drawing supplies, but it is not a requirement.

I work with children and teens of all ages, and neurodivergent young adults, and I help support parents and caregivers. Clients of all ages can benefit from play and art-based therapies.

As a Canadian Certified Counsellor, most insurance companies provide coverage for my counselling services. You may want to double check with your provider first. Sessions are paid in full on the same day with the credit card on file.
I am also an NIHB service provider (non-insured health benefits for First Nations and Inuit) and I can submit on clients’ behalf.

I offer one free 15 minute meet and greet session for clients who may not be sure yet if I am the right counsellor for them. Please contact me for scheduling or book a session and choose 15 minute new online client consultation.
This is not required and clients can feel free to book their first session whenever they are ready!

For your first session, all you need is access to a laptop, tablet or phone with a camera and a microphone. Laptops provide a larger viewing area but I can accommodate tablet and phone users too.
Online sessions are offered through a secure, encrypted platform and cannot be recorded. They are HIPAA and PIPEDA-compliant so your personal health information is kept secure.

Play and art is for everyone! I have used play and art-based interventions with many adult clients. At this time my area of focus is on children and teens but contact me if you are an adult interested in my services and I would be happy to discuss further.
